Welcome Future Applicants

Dear Applicants,

We are pleased to introduce you to the University of Arizona Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training program. The residency training program, established in 1971, is a fully accredited four year program that treats a diverse patient population. The majority of training occurs at Banner - University Medical Center at the Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson, Arizona. However, training opportunities occur at other locations throughout Tucson such as Banner - University Medical Center South Campus and Advanced Fertility Care.

The department is composed of five active divisions including General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility,  Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, and Maternal Fetal Medicine. There is an active and fully accredited Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine.  Our broad curriculum encourages professional development in clinical, surgical and research skills.

We received approval from ACGME to increase our resident complement starting in July 2025 to 5 residents per year!

You will find application instructions here. We look forward to meeting you.
