Why did you choose UA Obstetrics and Gynecology: I chose UA because of my love of Tucson and the people in it. Not only do I claim it as my hometown but it was here I found my love of medicine and it was with these residents and faculty that I found my love for OBGYN. UA allows its residents to become independent, compassionate physicians. As cheesy as it sounds, I can see a family in UA!

What are your interests or hobbies outside of medicine? I spend my time crocheting, watching reality TV, babysitting my nephew and taking way too many photos of my kitty!

What are your professional interests within obstetrics and gynecology? I want to be a generalist! I was drawn in by the variety and see my life having a little bit of everything: primary care, office visits, labor and delivery call as well as some OR time on the side!

Favorite way to spend a day off? I love to get a delicious breakfast and special beverage and then sit on the couch with my partner! If we are able I love a reality or competition TV show and to just feel at peace! 

Favorite restaurant in Tucson? I would say either Grain River, La Frida, Kung Fu Noodle, or Noodies

Favorite Vacation Spot? Visiting my partner’s family in Bosnia and then spending time on the beautiful beaches in Croatia!!! 

Top Bucket List item? I want to go to Hawaii so so bad and maybe do like a crazy zipline or something?

Favorite Hike or outdoor activity in AZ? I am not really an outdoor person but now I love going to the zoo and enjoying the sun and animals with my nephew!

Favorite Arizona getaway? I recently got to go to Sedona and it was just so beautiful and peaceful I loved it!!

Why did you choose UA Obstetrics and Gynecology?   
I chose UA OB/GYN because of my firsthand experience with the program during medical school at UA-Tucson. I was able to see the strength of the training environment, particularly the diverse and high-volume patient population, which offers excellent clinical exposure. I was also drawn to the program’s strong surgical training and comprehensive family planning experience.

What is your favorite thing about living in Tucson?   
My favorite thing about living in Tucson is the incredible weather, which makes it easy to enjoy outdoor activities year-round. Whether it’s hiking, biking, or just being outside, there’s always something to do. I also love the vibrant food scene; there’s such a great variety of amazing local spots to explore.

What are your interests or hobbies outside of medicine?   
I enjoy dancing, hiking/camping, boating, surfing, exploring new restaurants, and traveling. I also value spending quality time with friends and family, especially for game nights!

What are your professional interests within obstetrics and gynecology?    
I am particularly drawn to urogynecology because of the meaningful impact it has on patients’ quality of life. I value the opportunity to care for individuals across a wide range of life stages and to address conditions that are often under-discussed but deeply affect daily functioning and well-being.

Favorite way to spend a day off?                                                                                My favorite way to spend a day off is staying active, whether that’s swimming laps, going for a hike, or playing pickleball, followed by some time to relax with a good book. I also really value spending quality time with my partner, Conner, who is a urology resident. 

Favorite restaurant in Tucson?                                                                          Doughbird or Flower Child

Favorite Vacation Spot?

Lake Powell. My family has gone every summer since I was born, so it’s a place filled with meaningful memories, and it continues to be my favorite vacation. 

Top "Bucket list" item?

Traveling to New Zealand and visiting Hobbiton (big LOTR nerd).

Favorite Hike or outdoor activity in AZ?

My favorite outdoor activities in Arizona are hiking some of Tucson’s great local trails, like Starr Pass, Romero Pools, and Tumamoc. I’ve also hiked the Grand Canyon, which was an incredible experience. 

Favorite Arizona getaway?                                                                                              I really enjoy exploring Northern Arizona, especially in the summer, when it’s a refreshing escape from the heat.
