Sarah Weinstein, MN, CNM, IBCLC, PMH-C
Sarah is a certified nurse-midwife with a range of experiences from rural and tribal health to freestanding birth center and large hospital practices. Aside from full-scope midwifery, her areas of expertise include breastfeeding medicine and lactation and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Sarah is also a doctoral student in the College of Nursing. Her research and clinical practice both stem from an understanding of the central importance of health inequity, structural and transgenerational trauma, and social determinants of health. Sarah precepts students, enjoys working with our residents, gives various talks about evidence-based breastfeeding and lactation care and breastfeeding and social determinants of health, and is co-founder of the multidisciplinary and interdepartmental Breastfeeding Task Force.
