Lynn Coppola, MD, MPH, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at Banner-University Medical Center recently spent a month in Ghana providing education and care. Dr. Coppola taught a Obstetrics Life Saving Course to 34 midwives and discussed topics such as hypertensive disorders, obstructed labor and provided simulation sessions that included shoulder dystocia, quantification of blood loss and fetal monitoring. Dr. Coppola uses her professional skills to advance the care and development of others. She is an outstanding model who has inspired many and improved the lives of countless people. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated and skilled person in our midst.
